WHAT IS PAC?
The Leyton Parent Assistance Council, referred to as the Leyton PAC, is a group comprised of parents and family of Leyton elementary and Jr. High students. PAC supports Leyton’s students, teachers and staff by helping with enhancements to the Leyton classrooms and school facilities. In the past, PAC has raised funds for a new playground surface, volleyball/basketball poles, new game balls for recess, an electronic scoreboard for the Jr. High football field, telescopes for the science classroom, and much more! Smaller projects include teacher-appreciation events and snacks during testing times. The support PAC provides is possible through dedicated fundraising efforts, both big and small, done through family-friendly events such as outdoor fun runs and obstacle-course challenges, concession stands, an on-campus Christmas Store, collecting Box Tops for Education and more.
Being a part of PAC is easy – if you are a parent or family member of a Leyton elementary or Jr. High student, you are in the PAC! PAC officially meets quarterly throughout the school year, but PAC members who support the different projects and fundraisers throughout the year meet more frequently. For questions about PAC, contact one of the PAC officers through the school secretary or find us on Facebook by searching “Leyton PAC.”
