Ron Letson Acacia Leadership Scholarship 

 

ELKS Legacy Scholarship: Elks Legacy Awards are scholarships that are awarded to children and grandchildren of Elks members that joined the order on or before April 1, 2017 or a charter member of a lodge that began after April 1, 2017 and are paid up members through March 31, 2020.

 

National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship Program

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Current hunting license required

  • NWTF membership ($35)

  • Scholarships of $250, $1,000, & $10,000

  • Due to local chapter by Jan 1

Western Nebraska Administrators’ Education Scholarship

  • 2, $1,000 and 4, $500 scholarships awarded

  • Pursue a career in education

  • Application available from counselor

  • Due Jan. 31

 

Susan T. Buffett Foundation Scholarship: Amount varies 

Qualifications

  • Be a Nebraska resident

  • Graduate from a Nebraska high school or earn a Nebraska GED

  • Achieve at least a 2.5 GPA in high school

  • Be a first time freshmen when entering college

  • Plan to attend a Nebraska public institution for college

  • Be in need of financial assistance - Family’s expected family contribution (EFC) must e below $10,000 in order to apply

  • Requires two recommendations

  • Requires a personal essay

  • Requires a Student Aid Report (SAR) from the FAFSA

  • Complete online at http://www.buffettscholarships.org

  • Deadline is February 1, 2018

 

Haven and Virginia Smith Scholarship: $3000

  • 2.0 GPA

  • Attend post secondary institute in Nebraska

  • Submit cover letter and resume to counselor

  • Deadline is Feb 1

 

Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association 

  • Applicant must plan to enter education (teacher, media specialist, counselor, etc.)

  • 3 letters of recommendation: 1 administrator, 1 counselor, 1 teacher

  • May apply online and a hard copy must be submitted to counselor

  • 3.5 GPA ACT of 22

  • Deadline to apply Feb 4

 

Nebraska Rural Community Schools Association: Gary Fisher Fine Arts:

  • Must excel in Fine Arts and plan to major in it in college

  • 3 letters of recommendation: 1 administrator, 1 counselor, 1 teacher

  • May apply online and a hard copy must be submitted to counselor

Wheatbelt PPD/Basin Electric Power Coop Scholarship

  • Dependent of a Wheat Belt PPD customer

  • Must enroll in a two-year or four-year college, lineman college, university, or technical/vocational school
