About MeHi, I'm Amy Neumann! I'm so happy to be returning to Leyton Public Schools to teach sixth grade after completing my student teaching at Leyton. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and moved to Sidney in 2017. My family was looking for a slower paced lifestyle and we fell in love with Western Nebraska. My husband and I have been married for over twenty years and we have three children, a junior high student, a high schooler and a freshman in college. When I am not at school, I enjoy working in my garden and spending time at the lake fishing with my family.
Philosophy of EducationI firmly believe that all children can learn and my job is to help create an environment where they can succeed. Students should be active participants and have the ability to make choices in their education even at the earliest level. Students should not just pass from grade to grade but as educators, we must create an environment where they can each thrive.
