About MeMy name is Marla Davis and I grew up in a small farming community in North Eastern Colorado. We farmed, my mom raised us girls and sheep, and my dad taught at the community college in Greeley. I took a few years off of school after graduation and then attended the community college, receiving my A.A. in 1986. In January of 1987, I began attending Trevecca Nazarene University, receiving my B.S. in May of 1989 and a M.Ed in December of the same year. I packed up and moved to southern Texas and began my teaching career in January of 1990. I have 4 children between the ages of 26 and 17 and my husband, I, and my youngest son, along with two dogs and a cat, live in the country just south of Gurley. My son just moved in with us and will be a senior at Leyton this year. I began working as a Paraeducator at the high school last year and am excited to be the incoming Special Education Teacher and continue as a part of this district!
